When it comes to the issue of security and how people outside the shores of the country view the security of Nigeria as a whole, their are opinion will be based so much on whom they are and where they are coming from.
The man currently in the eyes of the Nigeria press in the last 72 hours is none other than the CEO of the Facebook, who arrived the country totally unannounced and without any form of funfair, it has gone viral that Mark Zuckerberg spent his time meeting the regular and normal Nigeria youths who make a decent living developing apps and contributing their fair share to the growth of the ICT industry.

Had it been that Zuckerberg had sort for security briefing from his embassy here in Nigeria, maybe he would have been advised not to visit Lagos or probably not to venture out publicly without escort. Zuckerberg achieved his goals for visiting Nigeria and went further by putting up a show of support for the people and government of Nigeria to erase the notion that the country is buckling under the threats of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group, and indeed promoting Lagos state by helping to establish to the outside world that Lagos is a warm and friendly place where anyone can feel at home.
It is no publicity stunt at all. Let us hope that his visit will help drive the tourism wheel of the Lagos state government and alley the fears foreign investors might have about the security of the state.
