Rihanna Meets Macron For Girl Child Education

Pop star Rihanna is not all about music and glamour,as she has taken her passion for the girl child to the world stage through the support of her Clara Lionel Foundation.

The diva met with the French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss education of the girl child.

Macron shared a photo on Twitter of the two of them sitting to talk, with the caption:

Committed with @ GlblCtzn , @ ClaraLionelFdn and @ rihanna to # FundEducation . 264M children are out of school: let’s take up this challenge!


Rihanna, in a press briefing after the meeting, said the French President was incredibly welcoming.

She added that a big announcement is coming during the UN week in September, and her foundation is planning on embarking on more work in Africa in October.

She also shared a post on Twitter after the meeting saying:

She had been reaching out to world leaders through her twitter for a while now, once urging her over 70 million followers to tweet at Canadian President Justin Trudeau until he responded to her saying: “We’ve got your back.”
