Name Tag, Badge And Uniform For Lagos Bus Conductors

Lagos state as the centre of excellence and a first in many areas of development and innovation is at it again. This time around, the new thing coming to the state from the 1st of March 2017, will be the waking up of the citizens and visitors to the state to the adornment of a unique uniform to all bus conductors of the popular yellow buses plying all routes within the aquatic state of splendor. Gone will be the days when this class of people appear in their underwear or dress shabbily to work and attend to their customers.

The National President of Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria has disclosed that bus conductors in Lagos State will receive and start wearing uniforms, name tags and badges from March 1st, 2017. This is according to the national president of bus conductors association of Nigeria, Israel Adeshola, who says the Lagos state government approved the development on Monday, 13th February 2017
.

“It would become mandatory for bus conductors in Lagos state to wear uniforms, name tags, and badges from March 1st, 2017. The new policy would see over three thousand bonafide members of the association use badges and wear uniforms. Adeshola explained that the introduction of uniforms, name tags and badges had become necessary to enforce decorum and ensure the safety of duly registered members and members of the public. He further said that any conductor involved in a crime can easily be identified and apprehended with the vital information on the badge.
