Suspected Cultists Kill Corps Member In Bayelsa

Panic gripped the people of Obele village over the weekend when a corps member who was serving in Bayelsa state was reportedly killed by suspected cultists in the area of which is a suburb of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

According to reports reaching us, the deceased who goes by the James Onuh was a graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Markurdi in Benue State and was attached to the Bayelsa State Ministry of Works for his primary assignment (PPA).

Confirming the killing of the corps member,, spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Command, Asimin Butswat, said the deceased was shot and was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. “We are trailing the suspects; investigations are ongoing” said the spokesman.
