Nigerians Pick Holes In Atiku’s Motive For Feeding IDPs (Photos)

 A few days back, former Vice President of Nigeria, Dr. Atiku Abubakar was at the Internally Displaced Persons camp to fete the children and some adults too. This is something he has been doing for a while now since this new regime came to power.

However, some Nigerian have come so hard on him with this action saying it’s all in preparation for his presidential  political ambition in 2019. Though, Alhaji himself has not come out to say this to anyone, however, the shrewd politician and Turaki of Adamawa, as we gathered, is only doing what is right to the people who have been abandoned and neglected by the society.

One of those who shared their opinions on the social media says, “In Preparation for 2019. The road to the Presidency sure isn’t paved with gold. I am yet to see dem politicians remembering the people or even making an effort to sitting this close to the average Nigerian after winning an Election. So sad to say that not even Mr President has attempted a town hall meeting, speaking on a one on one basis with Nigerians anywhere in the country. .. yet! All nicely tucked in his well tailored Agbada, inside the safe walls of Aso Villa. How the Average Nigerian manages the strife of the Economy, seems not to really bother them no more. Or does it?”

This brought about some people picking holes in his philanthropic gesture extended to the displaced people as there was mixed reactions.

“Using kids to score cheap popularity, how dare him? bloody thief!”

“Fake publicity and he is trying such gathering to get public acceptance in preparation for 2019 general election. His believe is that if Buhari can try 4 times and got it eventually he can get it too. How many times did he sat with this people when he was Vice president but he is doing this now because he needs them to change public opinion and gain public support.”

“Buhari has met with Nigerians in different countries. He will meet Nigerians back home soon.”

“If only we can excise patience we won’t be patients. Nigeria will work again, you don’t expect Buhari to change what has rotten suddenly without caution, it’ll not be too edible…the rotten tooth has to be removed first before the mouth can chew well, until then, the mouth has to chew with caution.”
